Writing and Math Tutoring
Writing tutoring is available as a 1:1 sesssion or in a group (min of 2, max of 4). Following an assessment, students will engage in various interactive and purposeful writing activities with instructor guidance. The writing process, types, formating, and editing will be explored. A minimum of two, 50 minute sessions per week is recommended to see academic gains.

Mathematics tutoring is available as a 1:1 session or in a group (min of 2, max of 4). Following a logical and developmentally appropriate progression, students will engage in tactile, concrete learning experience before delving into abstract principles.

Barton Literacy Tutoring
Specializing in reading intervention and remediation, Mindful integrates the Barton Reading and Spelling System® into every tutoring session. Research demonstrates that a systematic, highly structured approach to phonics is effective for all learners, particularly those with suspected or confirmed dyslexia. A minimum of two, 60 minute sessions per week is recommended to see academic gains.

SYSTEMATIC
Students progress through the program in levels. Each lesson builds on previous material. Weekly spelling lists begin in Level 2.
EFFECTIVE
Students take a checkpoint to ensure mastery before moving on to the next level. Fluency building and extra practice materials are available for non-tutoring days.
ENGAGING
Phonemic games and activities complement the lessons, allowing children to actively engage with the material in a meaningful way.
